Project overview

Work shaped by place and purpose.

The proposed Mini-Hydropower Project in Caraga, Davao Oriental, is a run-of-river hydroelectric development designed to harness the energy of flowing water for electricity generation. GALERIO Environmental and Technical Services Inc. was engaged to undertake an Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) to assess the potential environmental impacts associated with the proposed development and support the project's environmental permitting requirements. The assessment covers relevant environmental considerations associated with the proposed hydropower facilities, including potential impacts on water resources, aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems, land use, and surrounding communities. The study aims to identify potential environmental risks and recommend appropriate mitigation and management measures to support environmentally responsible project planning and development. The IEE provides technical documentation to support the project's Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) application, subject to evaluation and approval by the appropriate regulatory authority.
